Firstly, let’s deal with the easy question? Are house prices still rising in Doncaster……..the answer is a definite, resounding YES.

horton knights report Properties are selling in days rather than weeks

That then leads to the next set of questions by how much and why?

By how much ? That involves quite a bit of speculation and many assumptions, because we don’t sell the exact same house on the exact same plot, 3 months later it’s never a true like for like comparison. So rather than give out false or misleading guesses, we would advise all potential sellers get your house appraised by an estate agent. We’re happy to offer a free market appraisal to anyone thinking of selling, even if you only had it valued a month a ago, so take advantage of our knowledge.

Why are house prices rising so much? Now that question is baffling the nation, the property pundits, the financial institutions and everyone else in between. Sorry, we don’t know either.

However, we do know there is high demand for anything that we are putting on the market, and when we ask buyers and sellers what has triggered the move there is no one obvious or reoccurring answer.
Has Covid changed the way we think, maybe. Some buyers and sellers have given reasons that 2 years ago we hadn’t heard of. I want to live closer to my family, during lock down I’ve found it hard without them. We’re buying a multi generational home, mum, dad, children and grandparents all living in one house. Even couples whom have been together for 10 plus years, but separate have decided to move in together as a consequence of covid.

So, if you’re looking to sell, just give us a call, text or email and we’ll get you moved. You never know we may already have a buyer for your property registered on our email system.
